Vaping Flavors – Are They Affecting Your Smoking Habit?
There’s been a significant rise in sales of flavoring e cigarettes for teenagers, with many believing that flavored the smokes are a safer alternative to traditional ones. However, new research into the effects of menthol on the body may throw some of these claims into doubt. Up to now there’s been no direct link between flavored of cigarettes and asthma, although there are concerns that they may increase the risk of certain forms of cancers.
The most common flavoring e cigarette flavors available to current smokers is mint. Mists such as peppermint and spearmint are said by many to greatly help relieve colds and assist in relieving coughs. It is also thought that menthol can help with pains and aches, especially in the throat. The problem with these claims is that it’s difficult to determine whether or not the flavour really has any effect at all on the body. As yet there has been no direct link between flavored of cigarettes and asthma.
One of the primary concerns regarding flavoring e cigarettes is that they can encourage children to start out smoking. This is of course one of the primary concerns of parents around the globe. New studies by the British government have shown that the primary flavoring for flavoring tobacco products is really quite hazardous to health. The ingredients used are believed to have a harmful influence on the cardiovascular system and also lead to an increased threat of certain types of cancer.
This has led to questions about the dangers of the cigarettes, but the government is conducting research to determine whether they are indeed addictive. A recently available study by the general public Health England department has figured there’s ‘insufficient evidence to suggest that flavourings in electric cigarettes are associated with increased risks for oral, nasal or eye infections, and certain forms of cancer’. These findings come as a surprise to many who’ve been using flavoring e cigarettes for years. Many people believe that they provide a less dangerous alternative to smoking. Even the British Medical Journal has stated that flavoring e cigarettes should be looked at more carefully.
Flavored e cigarettes also have come under fire from the FDA. The FDA has been looking at the production of flavored vapor products as a way to offset the threat posed by cigars and cigarettes. A written report released in January 2021 detailed research which suggested that the FDA had received complaints about the flavorings in several of the products. One of the most popular flavors is probably chocolate e cigarette. Many consumers have blamed the chocolate flavor for the fact that many people do not consider them to be a genuine tobacco product, but merely a delicious and enjoyable puff from a convenient package.
The FDA is currently conducting further tests on the manufacturing processes of flavoring agents. It is apparent that flavored vapors pose a significant risk to the youth of today. These tests are also being conducted on youth who try to take up smoking because of their fascination with the candy along with other such tempting offerings available on the market. The end result is that the cigarettes took over the traditional solution to smoke tobacco. Most young people would prefer to use these electronic devices as opposed to Puff Bar Flavors the real thing.
There is absolutely no question that e cigarette flavors can appeal to those who have become familiar with smoking in the last month or so. Before, the marketing of these items was centered on an extremely specific market. Cigars were viewed as the “gateway drug” that would ultimately lead to bigger and more serious health issues if one smoked excessively.
The issue with this approach is that it completely misses the point. Young people are just as susceptible to nicotine addiction as smokers. What is really needed is really a multi-pronged attack on the smoking epidemic? That is just what the American Cancer Society is hoping to deliver with their new program, “THE INITIAL Bite”, which will help educate young people concerning the dangers of smoking and provide helpful information about how to quit the habit.
